Children’s Voices Against Malaria Uganda is a child-centred non-profit organisation working to prevent malaria and reduce its effects on children’s health and education.
We make malaria information clear, accurate and appropriate for children. We also create safe opportunities for children to learn, share their experiences and encourage healthy practices in their schools, families and communities.
Children are not expected to diagnose or treat malaria. Their role is to learn, practise healthy behaviours, speak up and tell a trusted adult when someone is unwell.
A malaria-free Uganda where every child survives, thrives and leads change.
Empowering children to prevent malaria through education, leadership and innovation.
Inspiring children to prevent malaria through knowledge, action and community leadership.
Malaria can cause serious illness, interrupt learning, increase school absence and place financial pressure on families. Children need accurate information, supportive adults and access to proven malaria-prevention and health services. Schools provide an important platform for helping children learn, develop healthy practices and share correct information with their families. CVAMU connects children, schools, communities and public health partners so that malaria knowledge can lead to safe and practical action.
